Learning Life Through Sport - Monthly

Learning Life Through Sport logo

Learning Life Through Sport Monthly

We at LLTS want to empower, support and inspire all of our parents, coaches, teachers and leaders to create safe and inclusive environments in junior sport, where everyone involved gets the opportunity to flourish.  LLTS Monthly is provided to continue our connection and sharing of great content with our valuable LLTS presentation attendees.

We hope you enjoy, and if you have anyone that you feel would benefit from any of our content, please feel free to share.

Umpire Vilification

Vilification is about sustained, harmful behaviour that dehumanises people. That definition fits the abuse of umpires for more often than we care to admit. When we excuse it, laugh it off, or call it "passion", we reinforce a culture where disrespect is normalised and accountability disappears.

If sport is meant to teach values, then how we treat umpires matters - because everyone is watching.

Feedback
